The Miss Rizos Journey

Miss Rizos was born in 2011 as a blog where its creator, Carolina Contreras, also known as “Miss Rizos”, shared information and resources in Spanish about caring for afro-curly hair.

In a short time, Miss Rizos became a movement throughout social media that celebrated, educated and empowered women to love themselves just as they are.

In 2014 Miss Rizos opened her first salon in the Dominican Republic and a second one in NYC in 2019, an idea that arose from a need in the market to have a space dedicated specifically for beautiful people with coils, curls, and waves.

The Miss Rizos products, to be launched in 2023, have been 10 years in the making. We selected the best ingredients for your pajón and added a bit of Caribbean magic to create the quality you deserve.
